Mitsubishi Electric ductless mini-split cooling and heating technology offers a welcome alternative to traditional split systems. It focuses on individual rooms and living spaces and is more energy-efficient and flexible. It’s not suprising that ductless systems are the fastest growing segment of the American air-conditioning and heating industry.

Mitsubishi mini-splits reduce energy costs and are ideal for installation in:

  • troublesome hot & cold rooms
  • additions & renovations
  • enclosed patios & sunrooms
  • homes without space for ductwork
  • large, multi-zone living spaces

Efficiency (available 13 to 26 SEER)

Inverter compressor technology adjusts speed according to the heating and cooling needs of the room. This keeps the system from constantly stopping and starting ans wasting energy.

Air Filtration

Indoor units make use of an easy-to-clean multi-part filtration system to reduce contaminants for a healthier breathing environment.

Quiet Operation

Indoor units operate at 19 decibels (db), quieter than a human whisper. Outdoor units operate around 50 db, which is quieter than conventional split-system outdoor units (typically, around 75 db).

How They Work

Ductless systems move refrigerant directly to the indoor unit through copper lines. Each room or living space can have its own indoor unit and wireless controller.

The indoor unit uses refrigerant to cool or heat the air and quietly distributes it where its needed.

The outdoor unit has a variable-speed compressor that sends just the right amount of refrigerant to the indoor unit, allowing for perfectly controlled comfort with no temperature swings.

The wireless control unit allows you to adjust temperature, fan speed, and more at the touch of a button.

A Mitsubishi outdoor unit can serve a single room, or up to 8 indoor units for precise, zoned climate-control. Each zone is capable of operating independently, so inhabitants of each room or zone can select a temperature that makes comfortable.
