We can approximate your ice needs based on the volume of your business and size your ice machine accordingly. For instance, for food-service we typically size equipment with the following guidelines:

  • restaurant – 1.5 lbs of ice per patron
  • cocktail bar – 3 lbs of ice per patron
  • carbonated beverage dispenser – 6 oz per 12 oz of beverage
  • salad bar – 4 lbs of ice per square foot

For hospitality lodging, we recommend 5 lbs of ice per guest, while in the healthcare industry we recommend 10 lbs per patient bed. We’ll consult with you about your anticipated usage before making any recommendations.
